Fern with Sori

Ferns do not produce seeds or flowers. In their place spores are produced. The spores are housed in a annulus (a device which acts as as catapult) which aids in their dispersion. Groups of annuli are covered with what is called an indusium. These indusia appear as small dots on the underside of the fronds. But if observed under a hands lens or a dissecting microscope, all the structures mentioned above can be observed.
