Liverwort 11

Riccia sp.

This liverwort was collected at the Liberty Community Church near Gause Texas on 27 March 1997. It occurred on sandy soil at the edge of the church building. The epidermal cell have extensions (tricones) giving the thallus a frosty appearance. No sporophytes were observed.
