Asterella sp.
This liverwort was collected at the Liberty Community Church near Gause Texas on 27 March 1997. It occurred on sandy soil at the edge of the church building. The sporophytes are interesting and have capsule-like structures in multiples of one to four. Elaters are quite conspicous.
