Tortula pagorum
This moss is very common on the bark of trees, especially liveoaks. Except in Australia this species does not produce fertile gametophytes. It reproduces assexually by means of a special structure called a propagula (right image) which occur in the center of the leaf rosettes as a cluster of small pointed ovate structures. The leafs of this species are terminally rounded with an awn (an extension of the midrib) protruding beyond the apical leaf margin. When dessicated, the leaves tend to spiral around each other (left image).
