Wildflowers of Miller Springs
and the Bell County Area
One of the greatest assets of the Miller Springs Nature Center is its abundance and diversity of wildflowers which can easily be viewed while walking dowm one of the many trails at the center. Your will notice that as you pass from one hahitat to another, the floristic composition changes also. Visit the center each month and observe how the flowers present change with the seasons, and even with the weeks. Bring a camera or a sketch pad (picking or removal is not allowed). If possible acquire a book on flower identification from a local bookstore.
In one section of the Miller Springs Alliance publication "Go Native", Tom Robbins has listed by month "What`s in Bloom at Miller Springs" (pages 22-25). I am attempting to take these list and present images of the flowers cited. This project will be on-going and additions and improvements will be made when possible.
