Lichen Structures


1. Thallus - the main body of the lichen.
2. Lobe - a distil section of the thallus that narrows down to a uniform width. It is one of the small last segments.



3. Soredia - powder-lke areas usually on the lobe edges.



4. Cilia - Hair-like structures extending from the edge of the lobes.



5. Apothecia - cup-like reproductive structures found on the upper side of the thallus.
