Snails

This snail was observed on a dead log which had no bark. The surface of the log was very moist due to recent rains. The temperature was about 63 degrees F. Most land snails are called pulmonates in that they have lungs but no opercula (lid). The head of the snail possesses four antenna, two long upper and two shorter lower.
