Miller Springs Reptiles

Due to the diverse habitats of the Miller Springs Nature Center, most reptiles found in the central Texas area are likely to occur in the center. This includes many species of snakes, lizards, and turtles. The american alligator is also a remote possibility.

The reptiles presented here are not a comprehensive listing, but are those most likely to be encountered along the trails. Care should be taken to stay on the trails so as to avoid the poisonous snakes present.

For a more comprehensive list refer to the Checklist of Amphibians and Reptiles of Bell County by the Twin Lakes Audubon Society.
